Introduce yourself

I’m Kareem Jamal; I’m 22 from the UK, originally from Bolton but moved to London for business purposes as I Have a hiring company. I work from home fulltime, and make my living from Betfair and also earn from various other businesses.

  How did you get started?

I first started making money on Betfair in 2004/2005.

When I first discovered Betfair I lost a lot of money. I’m  not going to give you any drivel and say I made a fortune and that it was easy.

I lost a lot of money; enough money that I couldn’t even buy myself a decent pair of trainers for a long time. But that did not stop me. I had a lot of knowledge in the horse racing department and the place market and lay format for me was amazing; the fact that you can make money off losing horses or place a horse to come 1^st 2^nd or 3^rd.  I never really knew, but my granddad was a professional punter himself, he walked in when I was looking at the Betfair markets online. It’s funny to this day no one actually knows how granddad has the things he has: a nice car, a few houses that are currently being rented out here in the UK and Ireland as well.

We spoke for a while and then went off to the bookies after I grabbed some of the last few £50s I had left. To cut a long story short, my granddad and I went to William Hill Book Makers; my granddad already knew what horse to put his money on as he went to the counter.  I could see something real dodgy going on behind the counter then the assistant manager proceeded to tell my granddad that he wasn’t allowed to place a bet in William Hill. He was given a copy of a letter which the assistant claimed they had previously sent him in the post. Now at this point my nerves where running a bit wild. We walked back to his car and he explained that he was presently undergoing an “investigation” and couldn’t place any bet until they discovered why he won so consistently. Can you believe that? So consistent in his wins that they actually would not let him place a bet. We went to Ladbrokes and my granddad asked me for my £50 (not to say he didn’t have his own, but this was all part of the lesson) so I gave it to him somewhat reluctantly. He was rushing me now, and it was probably due to the fact the race would be starting soon. While my granddad was placing a bet, I just walked around looking at the people playing roulette. A good 10minutes went by; at this point my granddad called to me. Just over £160 was handed over. I had the biggest smile if I remember correctly.

So fI knew my granddad was very serious about this he taught me so much      

about horse racing and I thank him for being part of my success.

Why have you decided to help people when you could just help yourself and make money?

Well just like my granddad didn’t have to help anyone but he helped me and probably a number of other people, so I decided to sell my information by giving out tips or running peoples accounts and that way both parties gain.

What’s so good about you?

I’m  consistent. I mean for example you I could be down a couple hundred pounds but have no concern at all. I call it a bad day, but I know by the end of the week or month I will have profited.

It’s a long term as I always profit in the long run and I have had no problems withdrawing £200 a day minimum for the last couple of years.

What was your biggest win?

To be honest, without sounding overconfident, I have had so many. I have caught a 92/1 with a £25 bet which brought in a couple of grand.

Are you going to show anyone how you pick your horses at any given time?

What advice you have for fellow punters?

What really annoys me is when people bet on whatever without any knowledge. We call this a “mug punter”
